The Online InfoSec community is dominated by Offensive Security Specialists (be that Pentesters, Red Teamers, Script Kiddies or whatever) , but the truth is between SOC Analysts, Vulnerability Managers, Compliance Experts, Risk Assessors, Security Architects, Threat Hunters, Malware Analysts, Firewall Specialists, Bug Bountry triagers and Security Engineers (to name but a few) in the industry, Defensive Security Specialists outnumber them many times overs!
But where are the Blue Team forums, the videos, the conference talks and the discord servers? They do exist, but in much smaller numbers to Red Team ones.
But rather than ruminate on WHY (I’m sure it’s not just that Red Teamers are shouty little show-offs 😉 ), it’s time to redress the balance a bit!
